Rogoznica has really a plenty of beaches in the walking distance from wherever you are staying. In the article below we picked sixteen of beautiful beaches in Rogoznica that can be reached within 25 minutes walk. There are plenty of amazing beaches outside the Rogoznica centre too, but that is for another article.

1. ART BEACH

ART beach is the beautiful beach with fine pale sand/starch which starts in front of The Sun Terrace apartment on Kopara Island. It has a fine shallow entrance to the water and some parts offer the shade under the pine trees. Very good for families with children, no need for water shoes. Never too crowded.

2. RACICE BEACH

Racice beach is a peaceful cove with fine pebbles next to the ART beach. It has a shallow entrance to the water and is close to the central restaurants and bars located in the center or at Gornji Muli beach nearby. A wide beach with fine bottom, very good for families with children, no shoes needed.

3. GORNJI MULI BEACH

Gornji Muli is another peaceful cove on Kopara island close to Racice beach. It has a fine starch and concrete blocks and is ideal for families. The beach is surrounded by pines and in the evening it is in the shade. There is a beach bar, pizzeria and a tavern on the beach. No need for water shoes.

4. KOPARA BEACH

Kopara beach is a small beach which starts at the end of the waterfront promenade in the centre. It has a beautiful view of marina Frapa. It is very close to bars and restaurants and it is in the shade in the morning. There is a fine bottom so you don’t need water shoes.

• Bars: right in the city centre close to bars
• Parking: parking possible in the central street only or at the ART beach

5 + 7. BEACH CRLJINA

Crljina beach is a log pebble and stone-slab beach surrounding the main part of Rogoznica – Kočara. It offer a lot of natural shade and has the view of Kopara island and Zatoglav. It is very close to bars and restaurants. It has sandy as well as rocky parts, but in general there is no need for water shoes.

• Bars: snack bar, restaurant and bar nearby
• Parking: challenging, better to leave the car in the central street parking

6. MILINE BEACH

Miline Beach is a popular beach with smaller pebbles in the new center of Rogoznice next to the marina that attracts families and young travelers. The shallow water makes it ideal for children. No need for water shoes, no rocks or sea urchins. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby.

8. ŠEPURINA BEACH

Šepurine Beach was awarded a Blue Flag – a symbol of quality and purity of the sea. It is a pebble beach ideal for families with children, young couples, and whoever seeking busy attractions. You can rent a deck chair on the beach. It has outdoor showers, toilets, changing rooms and bars. Shoes not needed.

9. THE “WILD” BEACH

We don’t know the name of this beautiful place, but it is a very romantic spot to swim and watch the sunsets. The beach is covered by larger pebbles and the water shoes are needed. It is quiet and peaceful place. The bottom is rocks and fine sand, offering an amazing snorkelling experience. Near Zmajevo oko.

10. LOZICA BEACH

Lozica beach is a pebble beach with concrete slabs located next to Sepurine beach. Nearby trees create a natural shade on the beach. The beach has showers, restaurant and children’s playground so it gets busy during summer. Bring water shoes.

11. GRADINA BEACH

Gradina beach is a fine pebble beach located on the Rogoznica peninsula Gradina, next to marina Frapa. The beach is reached by a beautiful promenade that runs along the entire peninsula. Gradina beach has a lot of natural shade as well as the beautiful view of the marina and the Kopara. Shoes not needed.

12. BLUE BAY

Blue bay beach is somewhat hidden from the public eye. The bay with the beach has an incredible blue-green sea of perfect purity. The beach is pebbly with rocky parts. It can be reached by walk from Zmajevo Oko or by a small boat. A forest stretches around the beach, so you have natural shade.

13. PERLA RESORT BEACH

Perla resort beach is located near Perla Hotel Resort between Crljina beach and Stupin Celine. It is a small gravel beach with a shallow water. It can be reached easily by walk. In summer the bay can be a bit cloudy as it is shallow and with limited water exchange. The beach is not busy. No water shoes needed.

14. ZATOGLAV

Zatoglav is a part of Rogoznica on the opposite side of the bay from Rogoznica centre. It is surrounded by small gravel beaches with concrete slabs. It is not accessible easily, but we like it because it is quiet and it has a small beach bar under the olive trees where we like to chill. Zatoglav is reachable by paddle board or by car.

• Parking: on the beach, limited

15. STUPIN BEACH

Again a bit far, but still accessible. Stupin beach is located in the Stupin Čeline, which is a part of Rogoznica at the end of the Rogoznica bay. It is a shallow beach with pebbles and concrete slabs. It has few attractions for kids like waterslides and a playground.

• Distance from The Sun Terrace: 30 min walk, 20 min paddle-boarding, or 2 minutes by car
• Bars: fast food bar
• Parking: on the beach, limited

16. KOPARA ISLAND

Our favourite, right at our doorsteps. Not only has Kopara island 4 amazing beaches which we already described above, but every place around the island is ideal for swimming and snorkelling. Maybe not ideal for smallest children, but couples can find plenty of private spots to relax and swim away from the buzz. As you walk around the island you will find multiple water steps, places to jump to the water or chill under the trees. Imagine jumping into the water after a morning run around the island. Now you know what we’re talking about!
